Antonio is in love with Angela and he does not hide it. When the others see a spoilt and selfish young 'Miss' , he sees a beautiful and charming young lady who is misunderstood. While out in the bush, Simon and Antonio saw Angela coming to check the love sign carved on the tree for her by Antonio. Simon blamed her for Pedro's illness but Antonio defended her.
Nina is really a drama queen, an opportunist and a phoney. She told Isabel to ask for money from Pedro to settle her debt. When Isabel hesitated, she demanded to know why she 'married a rich man if she was not going to make use of his money'. This statement did not go down well with Isabel the schemer so she rebuked her for such remarks and left the dinner table. After Dinner Don Pedro asked Isabel if it was necessary for her cousin Valeria and her mother to come live with them since she lived in a very spacious place too. Isabel responded by saying Nina had always dreamt of living in a big house and her house was not hers due to debt. It meant she had to settle or forfeit the house.
Later Pedro started playing the piano to the delight of everyone especially Valeria who went to the study door to listen. To listen more she opened the door to listen and Pedro heard the opened door and paused to check the person but Valeria ran away. Nina could not stand it so she barged into their bedroom and asked Isabel to go stop Pedro from being a nuisance as she cannot stand the noise.
The next morning, Nina really berated Valeria. She called her a burden and Valeria felt bad that she constantly threw whatever she was doing for her on her face. Isabel had to defend her from her mother.
