The Graduation Party

At last The other Priests saw the other half of the baby's photo and German brings it to Fr. Cristobal.

Carlota offers to iron Paloma's gown and she tells her to finish putting on her make-up. Carloca is ironing Paloma's dress and purposely ruins it by leaving the iron on it.

Rufina dresses and comes into Paloma's room to collect her dress for ironing but Paloma tells her that Carlota is already doing it. Rufina surprised says Carlota doesn't like to iron! Of course she doesn't, she only wants to ruin the dress by burning it.

Carlota rushes in and to tell Paloma that she accidentally ruined her dress. Paloma starts crying. Rufina thinks she might be able to fix the dress but Carlota says no. She offers to lend Paloma one of her dresses since the shops are closed.

Gabriel shows up at Sandra's house but Sandra's mother wants to tell him something about Sandra.

Emiliano hurries Romina up so that they would not be late. Romina comes out and says she looks ugly but Emiliano reminds her that she's pregnant. She tries to adjust her scarf to hide her belly.

Fr. Cristobal wishes he could be at Paloma's graduation. He asks God to watch out over her since he cannot be there.

The doorbell rings and it's Dr. Bermudez. Carlota opens the door and walks away. Rufina comes up to greet the doctor properly.

Gabriel comes too and Carlota asks him rudely what he is doing here. He replies that he came to get Paloma. Suddenly Paloma walks up and asks What Gabriel was doing here? Gabriel explains why and Carlota says absolutely not. When asked why? she says Paloma is not going to be second best just because his initial date got cancelled. That's not what happened says Gabriel.

Is that how you understood it he asks Paloma. No replies Paloma with Rufina and Dr. Bermudez agreeing also. Dr. Bermudez points out that it's tradition for the graduates to be accompanied by a partner. Rufina mentions that it will make Paloma go to the party because now that her dress was ruined by accident by Carlota she didn't want to go. Paloma says she doesn't feel comfortable with the dress that she is wearing. But if he wants to accompany her then she would love to go. Everyone is happy except Carlota.

Romina and Emiliano show up at the hotel where the graduation is going to be held and come across Rafael and Luz. Rafa says he came to take Luz to the restaurant for dinner. He introduces Luz to Emiliano and Romina. Luz comments on how she has wanted to meet him and that he looks a lot like his dad. And Romina looks beautiful. They are about to leave when Camila and Orlando show up. Camila and Rafa make eyes at each other. Luz shakes hands with Camila. Emiliano breaks up the happy group and says they have to go in now. Romina comes up with the bright idea for Rafa and Luz to come along with them. Emiliano doesn't want to mess up Rafa's plan, but Romina overrides it and says that she had to buy a table and there is room for them. Rafa says thanks, but we didn't come properly dressed. Luz suggests they go home and change into appropiate attire. Romina seconds the idea. Camila asks Romina not to insist if they don't want to. Orlando seconds the comment. Romina ignores them and tells Luz that she expects them to show up.

Diana and the ladies play cards with Samuel.

Rufina had given the two rings to Dr.Bermudez so she asks if he has figured out the true situation. He says one is the original and the other a very good copy. He thinks the copy was made by Carlota.

Gabriel stops and buys Paloma a flower. He tells her he has another surprise for her.

Romina and Emiliano walk into the room where the party is being held followed by Camila and Orlando. Orlando comments that he thinks Romina went to far. Camila agrees. Orlando says this dinner will be torture with you, me, Rafael and his newest girlfriend. Camila says if you want to leave, I'll understand. Orlando says of course not. Camila asks if Luz is really pretty. Orlando says she pales in comparison to her. Emiliano too was angry at Romina for inviting Rafael and Luz. Now Orlando and Rafa are going to be uncomfortable. Romina thinks Camila needs to get use to it because once the baby is born they are going to around each other

Romina and Emiliano ask where Paloma is when they see Rufina, Carlota and Dr. Bermudez. Rufina says she's just coming in.

Paloma walks in with Gabriel on her arm wearing a new dress. The dress? Carlota asks Rufina what she did. Nothing replies Rufina saying I just bought her a new dress. Orlando says she's beautiful, Romina says she looks nice and Emiliano says spectacular.

Paloma goes up to Camila who tells her she looks beautiful. Paloma introduces Gabriel to her. Romina comments that she thought Paloma was coming alone. Paloma says last minute Gabriel wanted to accompany her. Anyway Liliana comes in and spots Paloma. They get all excited and Liliana says you look gorgeous. I'm so glad that you came with Gabriel especially after all that happened. Romina wants to go what's going on.

Emiliano and Romina sit down at their table and Romina rubs it in that Paloma found herself another. Camila says Paloma's free and so is Gabriel. They look like a lovely couple. Orlando says so does Emiliano and Romina. You look beautiful today. Romina tells him not to lie. She looks like a cow.

Paloma thanks Rufina for the dress. Rufina says that Paloma has become the focus of the party. Of course Carlota is not pleased.

Angelica and Miriam meet in a restaurant and she tell her how Dario stole her book. Miriam isn't surprised because Dario used her too. Angelica wants to get back at him. She wants them to join forces and Miriam agrees.

At the party Emiliano keeps looking at Paloma and Gabriel and is jealous. German comes up and asks what's wrong? Paloma came with that guy replies Emiliano. They both talk about Gabriel. German assures him that he will handle everything.

Rafael and Luz show up and and Rafael tells Emiliano he doesn't think this is a good idea.

German greets Carlota and pays Paloma compliments. He wants to dance with Paloma but Gabriel says no that that will be his pleasure.

Mother Superior starts the party by making a speech. Rafael looks at Camila, Romina looks at Emiliano and Emiliano looks at Paloma. What an exchange of looks.

Joel and Monica are together getting to know each other. Joel says once they get married, Monica's son will get use to him. Monica is shocked and asks if he wants to marry her? Of course replies Joel. Don't you? Monica says she wants to spend her life next to him along with her son. Why don't we live together instead? That way if you want to leave you can just pack up. No papers involved. Are you that scared asks Joel. Monica begs Joel to understand. She's scared of marriage. I understand that you had a bad experience with the father of your son, but that does not mean all men are bad.

Paloma was invited to come up and make a speech. Gabriel escorts her to the stage. Paloma makes a speech about leaving behind today their childhood and looking forward to adulthood. She thanks all for the love and guidance they have shown them. Paloma thanks everyone especially Romina for opening up her heart to her when she first came to the school. Romina cries silently. Paloma says with Romina I learned what a friend and a sister is. I will always care for her. No matter what. Carlota just shakes her head. Video of Romina and Paloma as kids at the school. Everyone looks on at the video and tears are running down Romina's face. At the end of the video Romina and Paloma embrace.

Fr. Cristobal's cellmate asks about the torn photo and he says it showed up at the hospital while he was sleeping and he needs to know who gave it to him.

Graduation Day

Gabriel Lizarde
Gabriel is upset that Luz knows his secret and wonders how. She says she found out quite a while ago, by accident, and it hasn’t changed anything between them so far and it shouldn't change anything now. She won’t tell anyone but urges him to live life fully, fall in love and loosen up.

When Fr. Benito enters to see him, Cristobal tells him he hates Carlota with the fire of a thousand suns and wants to kill her.

Paloma calls Gabriel and tells him that Fr. Cristobal is going to be fine. She says she’ll see him at their next class, and not to worry about Aunt Carlota.

Rufina tells Dr. Bermúdez about the second ring she found, exactly like Paloma’s engagement ring from Iñaki, which Carlota said was worthless. The doctor wants to see both.

Monica watches her son drawing with his class of little children. Joel shows up, says hello to the kid, and is rewarded with a big hug and kiss. He gives the little boy a present. Monica is touched by his care.

German tries to explains to Paloma the issue of prison vigilante justice. She wonders if there is something they can do to protect Cristobal and Natalia but German thinks that will be hard. While he leaves to see Natalia, Emiliano takes Rufina and Paloma home. At home, Rufina is instantly summoned by Carlota who is on her bed and demanding juice, as she is feeling weak after donating her blood. She also wants to make sure Rufina knows that she is the one that donated blood to save Cristobal. She asks that Rufina should thank her but she said she would rather thank God and asks Carlota what exactly are her intentions. Carlota says to make Cristobal eternally grateful to her. Rufina reminded her that he will not return her love and Carlota is annoyed that it is so obvious to all that Cristobal does not love her.But she tells Rufina that soon she will get a big surprise.

Chava hangs in the park, drinking with his friends and when Meche shows up and yells at him, he tries to blame his drinking on the hypocritical priest. Meche cries to Fr Mateo about her grandson and he comforted her saying he’ll ask Emiliano to talk some sense into the boy.

Dr. Bermudez has to apologize to Fr. Cristobal that Carlota was the blood donor. This was an emergency.

Paloma advises Emiliano to try to make his marriage to Romina work. Emiliano drags himself home. Romina is for some reason super excited about the graduation party and showing him her new dress and asking him if he wants to invite his parents. He says German wants to be invited. Romina doesn’t like that, but says he should invite Rafael and his new girlfriend. Emiliano calls Rafael to confirm the existence of the new girlfriend and he confirms it saying it happened rather by surprise.

Camila is still tormenting herself about Rafael and Luz and trying to cheer herself into getting over it, since she was the one who left him. Monica interrupts to talk about how well Joel and her son hit it off, and how happy she is that she can fall in love again. She hopes Camila will be as happy with Orlando.

Samuel gives Diana a stolen flower and strokes her cheek.

Natalia in prison remembers Cristobal leaving her at the altar. She tells herself that life would have been so different if they had just gone through with the wedding. Now she’s afraid she’ll be in jail forever.

Eventually, Carlota had a talk with Gabriel and Paloma asks her about the conversation. Carlota claims Gabriel has evil intentions. Paloma is confused and doesn’t think that is true. Carlota doesn’t like her assertions challenged so she claims tiredness and warns Paloma to stay away from wolves in sheep’s clothing including Fr Cristobal. Paloma says she will always believe he is innocent.

The mysterious lady on wheels checks into a hotel, asking for the biggest room they have.

Romina calls Samuel and he answers. He lied that he’s in Mexico City (meanwhile he is in town) and just kept the room in Real del Monte as a place to keep his stuff. He lied that the furniture is on its way. Romina invites him to her graduation and he asks if she is no more expelled from school. She says she still gets to go to the party. He declines claiming it would be too awkward to be around Camila. Emiliano listens on and is disgusted.

Eric, Liliana's boyfriend drops off an envelope in German’s office, and things instantly get hostile. The two square off over Liliana. Eric advises German that he is rising like foam, and foam disappears and German responds that he is just jealous because Liliana can’t forget him.

Emiliano and Fr. Mateo drop by Meche’s place and had to have that chat with Chava.

Rojas calls German on his new appointment as Carlota Espinoza de los Monteros new lawyer. He warns him to watch his back and says he doesn’t know whether to congratulate him or offer condolences. German hangs up and says he’s just jealous.

Paloma gives the mother superior a copy of her graduation speech and says she doesn’t know whether it’s any good, as she can’t concentrate. She is worried about Fr. Cristobal. Mother Superior says she can tell how strong a bond Paloma and Fr. Cristobal have.

German visits Cristobal in the hospital and he asks him to make sure that Carlota is not present at the trial. Cristobal sleeps and part of a picture drop onto his bedside table, then the door closing. The photo appears to be half a black-and-white shot of a baby, torn diagonally.

The next morning, a nurse removes Cris’s needles and wakes him up. German arrives and they help Cris sit up and he sees the photo and is stunned. He says he has the other half and never knew that this half still existed. He begs German to ask the other Priests to find his half in his things and bring it and to find out how this half arrived. The Priests search through Cristobal’s things and find the other half of the baby picture.
Cristobal returns to prison.

Camila and Orlando plan their wedding.

Paloma admires her graduation dress and tells herself she will not be bitter and uncomfortable because she doesn’t have a date. Carlota comes along and tells her the dress is too daring and inappropriate. Paloma doesn’t care. She’s proud that she bought the dress with money she earned herself.

FINALLY it is graduation day. All the graduands are in gowns and caps, smiling with their diplomas. Paloma gets a special plaque for being the best. Everyone claps. Caps thrown.

Carlota donates blood to Cristobal

Fr. Cristobal stabbed and rushed to the hospital. Emiliano hears and rushes to the school to tell Paloma. Gabriel also tells Don Eugenio that he’s going to go wait at the school to tell Paloma. Emiliano gets to the school first and tells Paloma and Liliana. Gabriel comes up with his father and they all discuss the news. Later its Paloma's turn to do the talking by saying who of the two men will she go to the hospital with. Don Eugenio looks at his son and realizes he’s fallen in love with Paloma. Paloma wonders how they all found out and they both tell her. Emiliano heard from German while Gabriel heard from Carlota. Carlota? Paloma wonders what Gabriel and his father were doing talking to Carlota and Gabriel said his dad wanted to put in a good word for him so she’d calm down from worrying about his intentions.
Emiliano points out that they’re wasting time so Paloma thanks Gabriel and opted to go with Emiliano. Don Eugenio seeing that his son has fallen in love with Paloma, consoles him.

At the hospital, Dr Bermudez is calling for blood as Fr. Cristobal has lost so much. He hopes there is some on hand, or they will need a donor.

Rufina is praying at home for Fr. Cristobal and afterwards she puts her hands in her apron pockets and discovers the two matching Inaki engagement rings that she found. She hides them in the vegetable basket and starts moving the veg around.

Luz in Rafael's office, smiles at his worried look after the argument with Camila. She says It’s obvious that there is, or has been, something big between the two. Rafael tells her that Camila is about to marry someone else. Luz says that must be hard when your heart belongs to someone else but Rafael says Camila doesn’t love him anymore. But Luz thinks otherwise. Meanwhile out on the street, Camila is wondering aloud who Rafael really loves? Her or Luz?.
Back in her shop, tearful Camila tells sympathetic Monica all that happened in Rafael's office. She tells Monica 'You have no idea how it hurt to see him happy with someone else. He didn’t love me like he said he did.'. Monica consoles her by telling her that everyman needs company so Rafael may be after Luz for comfort and not love. Camila says it’s a good thing she chooses Orlando. He’d never pull anything like that. Never.

German is at the nurse’s desk when Carlota hurries in, distressed and agitated about Fr. Cristobal. German says not good that he was stabbed. It happens a lot in prisons.
Carlota says she wants to go see him. German says visits are restricted. She says she doesn’t care and tells him to Bribe somebody for her to get him to see him.

German tries and comes back to tell Carlota that it’s going to cost a load. Whatever! Whatever! she says, urgently. German says I didn’t know Fr, Cristobal was so important to you. Carlota says I don’t pay you to think, just to act. German says okay, there’s a nurse waiting for you at the end of the hall. She runs off down the hall before Orlando shows up in the waiting room to ask how Cristobal is.

Inez received her admirer, Juancho, in her living room and he proposes marriage to her because he does not want to waste time on courting. Inez so excited and surprised, accepted to be his wife.

In the ward, Carlota Disguise as a nurse with masks and comes into Cristobal's room. She closes the blinds to his room and slowly pulls her mask away. She approaches his bed and speaks softly to him saying "You have to get better! Now you’re not a priest, and there’s no Macarena, the way is wide open for us. Nobody will ever come between us. You have to live - we have a future waiting for us, just you and me. I’ve always been ready to do anything for you. Even if it costs me my fortune, I’ll save your life". .

Emiliano and Paloma are going towards the hospital and Emiliano wants to know why Gabriel and his dad would want to talk to Carlota and Paloma explains. Emiliano say he too does not want Gabriel around her and he means it. Don’t be so self-centered says Paloma and she pulls away when he tries being intimate.

At the Eiffel Tower! The Paris airport! A white-haired lady in her wheelchair looking sad and grim is shown. She is seen asking the Spanish-speaking couple who are reading about Fr. Cristobal in the papers where Real del Monte is. They tell her it’s about a half an hour from Pachuca. She calls her helper over and says something to him and they left.

In the hospital, A doctor comes into Cristobal room and Carlota quickly puts her mask back on and turns away and fiddles with something on the tray. The doctor, who, asks if blood has been located for the transfusion. Carlota is startled and says she doesn’t know. She asks if he gets a transfusion, will he have a better chance of survival? The doctor patiently explains that Cristobal was bleeding a lot and needs blood. What kind asks Carlota?. It’s in the chart, the doctor says, handing it to her and leaving. Carlota flips through the chart, finds the blood type, and looks up, having realized something.

Rufina says let’s all go to the chapel. They all agree, except German who says he’ll wait there.

Romina is at the marble front desk of the luxurious hotel where Samuel is staying. Apparently he isn’t in. Romina accuses the lady behind the desk of not giving him her messages because he hasn’t called. The lady protests that she did. Romina asks for pen and paper and leaves him a note: What’s up with you? What’s up with the furniture for my baby and the check I gave you?

Orlando goes to Camila’s shop and tells her he’s been trying to call all morning. She checks her cell and finds out the battery died. He tells her that Cristobal has been stabbed in prison and has been thrown out of the church. I just came from the hospital. But I have a question for you: 'Where were you before you came to the shop this morning'?

Diana is at Inez’s and Inez is shows her her ring. Diana is jealous and starts accusing Juancho, Inez's friend of being a thief because he doesn’t look like a rich man to afford that that of ring or it’s his mother’s or grandmother’s ring. Diana now tells Inez about the date with Samuel and how they kissed.

Camila tells Orlando that she stopped by the ceramics factory. She says she went to do business with Joel and saw Rafael just for a minute.

In the little coffee shop, Gabriel, Don Eugenio and Luz are toasting her new romance. Don Eugenio wonders why Gabriel can’t just let go like Luz and fall in love. He says no, he’s too intense, too guarded. Luz says she was that way too, but she learned that nothing is forever. She just lives each day as if it were her last. Gabriel says he will learn to do that.

Angelica thinks of suing Dario for plagiarism. But who would believe her? She now remembers Miriam! The same thing happened to her and nobody believed her so she decides to call her.

At the publisher’s office, Dario is being interviewed while the publisher looks on. The interviewer says what really struck her about the book is that the female characters were so well rendered, it seemed like a book written by a woman. The publisher looks worried. The interviewer asks if this represents a change in his style?

Carlota donates blood and Fr. Cristobal got the much needed transfusion. When Dr Bermudez says they were so lucky to find a donor, Cristobal wants to know who donated the blood and the nurse says 'you are really lucky that that woman(Carlota) was able to give blood for you. She saved your life'. When Fr. Cristobal turns and sees Carlota, he starts pulling at his transfusion tube. He did not want Carlotta's blood in his body. But Dr. Bermudez retrains him. Later Cristobal passes out again and Dr Bermudez asks the nurse to step out a moment. He then advise Carlota not to come to see him again after the transfusion is done.

German takes the opportunity of being in the waiting room together to Paloma if she has a date for graduation. When she said No, German offers himself but Paloma rejected and tells him she will fine alone.
Dr Bermudez comes in and announces Cristobal is out of danger because they found a donor. Paloma and Rufina are thrilled about the donor and Rufina says God bless the donor. ( Not realizing its Carlota)

Doctored photographs Carlota took

When Dr. left to informs others, Carlota Carlota comes and hovers over Cristobal. She tells him that 'his life now belongs to her and he will go along with her plans. She’ll show those photographs of him kissing her so people know there was something going on between them, plus she’ll make the photos be his alibi, and then they can go far, far away together. I want to be yours.'. Just then the nurse rushes hes in and tells her to go as the doctor is coming.

Later German tells Emiliano that he asked Paloma if he could escort her to her graduation but she turns him down and says she will go alone. This gladdens Emiliano's heart as he couldn’t stand seeing her dancing with another fellow. German says it’s going to happen one day, you know.

Dr Bermudez comes out and says visits are still restricted, but they can go in one at a time to see Cristobal. Paloma gets to visit first. She tells Cristobal not to die and they talk of how much they love each other – Paloma is surprised she came to care for him so much, and Chris says he feels towards her as a father feels toward his child. He would give his life for her. After everyone, Fr Cristobal tells Fr Benito that its Carlota that is the blood donor and he hates her.

At the café, after Eugenio has left for Mexico, Gabriel tells Luz he just thinks of Paloma as a student when Luz was insinuating that a spark is going on between them. Luz says she has a special instinct and knows it’s much more. Luz tells him she know his secret.

Cristobal stabbed in Jail

Paloma in the Park thinking about all the happenings in her life and Real de Monte. Did not see Gabriel and Luz walking in the park but they saw her and Gabriel comes to talk to her. She tells him she hopes time flies quickly so that she can leave Real del Monte. Gabriel says that what he most likes about her is her wings. No matter how much they try to make her stay she wants to fly away. Paloma mentions that is what her mother use to tell her. Emiliano sees them talking and just stares but Romina talked. She accuses Paloma of moving from one man to another. Emiliano defends Paloma by denying that accusation but Romina insists that its true and Paloma confirms it by saying she is moving on with her life without Emiliano.

While at the Park Paloma gets a call from Liliana that they meet at the store so that she can help pick a graduation dress for her. Well Paloma can't afford one, but Gabriel tells her to use some of the money she got from selling her paintings. He tells her she deserves it.

Dr. Bermudez and Rufina talk about Paloma and the situation involving Fr. Cristobal and Natalia. Rufina tells  Bermudez that German has been going to the house to visit with Carlota and he suspect something fishy.

Paloma leaves the Park to meet with Liliana and comes across Romina and Emiliano. Trust Romina to pretend that all is well with her marriage and she asks for  4 tickets to the graduation. Paloma agrees and even confirms that she will be going with her art teacher. Emiliano is very jealous.

In the cell one ugly cellmate comes behind Fr. Cristobal with a rope to choke him but he slams him against the wall and then throws him out. His roommate in jail rushes in when the attacker was threatening as he walks out but Cristobal asks him to say nothing to anyone about the incident.On the other hand, Orlando visits Natalia in jail and promises to help her.

Liliana and Paloma look at dresses for the graduation. Liliana picks out a pretty dress for Paloma, but she declines. At home she tells Rufina that she went dress shopping but didnt get any because of the price. Rufina tells her to get it and she'll pay for it as a gift. She has no one to spend her money on. That way she can look like a young lady. Paloma decides she'll pay for it instead.

Emiliano and Romina go and look for baby furniture. Emiliano spots a happy couple and thinks to himself if only this baby was ours Paloma.

Angelica investigates and finds out that Dario registered her book the day after she gave it to him. Angelica calls Orlando but gets voicemail. She leaves a message explaining the situation. She calls the lady Editor that gave her Dario's manuscript to read and asks her to call Dario so that she can talk to him face to face. The editor agrees and calls Dario who in turn agrees to come to the office.

Diana is playing poker with some other ladies and Samuel is in the background. He comes up and offers to help the ladies with their game. Diana readily remembers that he's Camila's ex so she asks that he be allowed to join in the game. Diana and Samuel smile at each other.

Luz in Rafael's apartment and so excited about the place. She brought groceries to cook for him. In the morning She brought his breakfast to him in bed and he wanys to get up and be ready for Work but Luz advised him to take the day off. Rafael  calls Joel and tells him that he will not be coming. Joel is shocked and guesses it's because of Luz.

Carlota calls the Law Firm and wants German to handle all her affairs now instead of Rojas. She went into Paloma's room to hurry her to prepare for school. As she starts fixing Paloma's bed, she sees the huge amount of cash and she wants to know where she got it from. Paloma just tells her the money is hers and she earns it and Carlota has no right to tell her how to behave because she is a big girl now. One of the lawyers in the office informs German that he is Carlota's new lawyer. German is happy.
Carlota leaves home and visits Gabriel and warned him and his Father to stop feeding Paloma with ideas, Fantasies or face her wrath.

Cristobal gets a visit from the archbishop and Padre Benito. The archbishop expels him from Priesthood.
German hears and tells Emiliano of Cristobal's expulsion and he wants to help, but German says if the church doesn't back Cristobal then no one will believe in his innocence. Emiliano then proceeds to tell Paloma.  He tries calling her and ends up leaving her a message.

Inez gets another letter under her door and opens the door quickly to find Juancho is her secret admirer. She accepts to have a relationship with him.

In the Editor's office,  Dario walks in and sees Angelica. He asks what shes doing there but Angelica requests the Editor to excuse them. Angelica in anger slaps him and refuse to listen to his lies again. He tells her he was desperate. Dario says his name may be in the book, but the money will be for her. Angelica starts yelling at him and the Editor comes in wondering what's going on. Angelica tells her that Dario stole her book. Dario denies it and the editor begs Angelica not to cause a scene because she doesn't believe her story.
Cristobal prays to God not to leave him after his expulsion. German tells him he is sorry about his expulsion from the priesthood.
The ugly and troublesome cellmate comes in and stab Fr, Cristobal in the belly. Carlota gets the info and starts spreading the news.

Luz in Town

German comes to see Carlota and Rufina lets him in and wonders to herself why he wants to see her. Christopher and Natalia admitted to jail, getting their jail clothes and being sent to the showers.

German tells Carlota that Cristobal thinks she’s behind it all. And when Carlota asks him if he believes him, German says no though he has his doubt. Carlota admires his attitude and says that Cristobal has has been shamed and brought down therefore can make up all kinds of stories. Carlota asks 'How could I fabricate photos of them all affectionate'? German tells her that Fr. Cristobal says she wanted vengeance because her love was not reciprocated.

Me? In love with Fr. Juan? Surely you don’t believe that do you? German shrugs. Carlota says how could I have killed Alonso? I’m sorry he wants to point the finger at me. But you know what? I like the way you think. I’m seriously considering dropping Rojas as my lawyer and hiring you.
Really? says German. Carlota says Rojas is getting old and tired while he is young and ambitious. She says Cristobal is desperate and looking for someone to blame but its too bad he picked her. Later she hired German when he says it would be hard to believe that a woman like Carlota with an impeccable reputation could be behind Cristobal and Natalia ordeals.

Rafael, all smiles, decides to call Luz, but he gets the answering machine. He hangs up and wonders What he would say? It’s better to leave it as a beautiful dream as he remembers their happy times at the conference and walking around the conference town.

On the other hand, Luz checking her messages, sees the unfamiliar number and dials back. She gets Rafael’s answering machine. She is happy to find out it was he who called. She guesses that he didn’t know what to say and smiles.

Emiliano at work, tells Angelica all about Fr. Juan Cristobal and Angelica thinks German is very young and doesn’t have enough experience to handle such high profile case. Emiliano assures that Orlando has promised to replace German if he is incompetent. Angelica wonders if German will admit incompetence considering his ego.

Diana all smiles with hair extensions goes to see Emiliano but he did not notice. What he does notice is that she’s there when he’s said he didn’t want to see her or have anything to do with her. Angelica not wanting to be cut in the crossfire leaves. Orlando comes in and is amazed to see the makeover Diana. He just stares and leaves too. Diana giggling says her new look knocks him off. Later Emiliano agrees to talk with her away from the office.

Rafael runs into Camila on the street and they talk about the convention. He notices the engagement ring and asks when she is getting married and she says a month. He truthfully says "I can’t pretend I’m happy about it, but probably it was the best decision. Good day, Senora Ferrer. I have to get used to calling you that". He leaves and Camila’s becomes sad.

At Gabriel’s studio, Paloma and himself lament over Cristobal situation and how to help. Paloma says she is going to do whatever to help and Gabriel likes the passion and says it’s vital for any artist. Paloma, all fired up, says she wants to paint her outrage. Gabriel tells her to close her eyes, breathe, and imagine she can fly, that she is a butterfly that can go wherever it wants.

The doorbells rings and Luz enters. Gabriel welcomes her and she says she just got into town and plans to stay with him. Paloma is introduced to Luz who says don’t go falling in love with this fellow! Paloma says I won’t. When Paloma wants to leaves, Gabriel says no, art comes first so she should continue.

German comes out of Carlota’s house thinking of her odd behavior and distracted. Romina coming out of her mother’s house, sees him and crosses over to talk to him. He asks what he was doing in Paloma's house and he says he went to see Carlota and not Paloma who has gone to her art class. Romina is happy that Paloma is interested in her art teacher and will leave Emiliano alone. German says with Fr. Cristobal in jail, they’re tighter than ever but it’s up to Romina to control her husband.

Emiliano and Diana are having coffee and he tells her that there are many things that he admires about her, one of them being the way she fights for what she wants. But she goes way overboard most times. Diana says he does it for him. Emiliano disagrees and pointed out her chasing after Rafael at the conference which resulted in her humiliation. She agrees and says she is letting the father go and re-make her life. Emiliano is happy for her.

Carlota and Rufina arguing about her being there when Cristobal got taken away and Carlota asking who told her. Rufina says Orlando. Carlota says she’s tired of always being judged by Rufina and warns her to be careful. Rufina asks if she is threatening her or what does she mean? Carlota says she shouldn't let her imagination run wild because she seems to be getting old and forgetting her place in the household.

Cristobal ’s cellmate tells him in jail everybody’s equal and it does not matter what brought you to jail. Another troublemaker comes in and leers at Cristobal. The cellmate tells the troublemaker to buzz off.

Dr Bermudez and Ivonne are in the park with little Sagrario, Natalia's daughter who wants to know where her mama is. Ivonne lies and says she’s gone away with her dad. Ivonne gives Dr. Bermudez the keys to Natalia’s place in Real del Monte.

Gabriel and Luz are eating in a cafe. He’s amazed that she just decided on a whim to come to Real del Monte. He likes that she’s such a free spirit. They discussed about Paloma and Gabrel's family. Luz says he was the same way when his mother died, remember? Suddenly Gabriel looks serious and Thoughtful. Luz tells him about Rafael and he wants him to meet him.
Diana walks into the cafe and when she turns, she saw Luz and recognize her as the lady from the conference. She wonders what she is doing here with that good-looking young man? Not letting it go, Diana runs to Rafael's office to tell him that Luz is in town. Rafael is happy that Luz came but asks Diana to leave.

Fr. Benito and Fr. Manuel are all worked up about Cristobal situation, how the crowd turned on him. The phone rings and it turns out that the bishop found out about Cristobal situation and has decided to come to Real del Monte. They both feel this is not good at all. and wonders how the Bishop could have found out.

Christobal’s cellmate is showing him photos of his kids when hes told he has a visitor. He comes into the visiting room and It’s Carlota. She says it’s nice to see him out of his cassock. He wonders how she got in to see him. She says I always get what I want. She says she can get him out of there, by saying he was with her when Alonso was killed. She tossed photos on the table, the ones of her kissing him when he was drugged. Cristobal is horrified. "You are sick sick sick" he keep saying. Carlota says those photos are your ticket out of here. It could save your life, but it would ruin my reputation. Fr. Cristobal tells her he would rather rot in jail than sell his soul to the devil and to Carlota. He advises her to go confess because he knows he is behind everything.

Emiliano is coming home and sees Romina sitting on the couch, flipping through a magazine. She tells him that Samuel is going to buy the furniture for the baby's nursery and she has given him the money. Emiliano shocked  wonders why she gave Samuel of all people the money. Romina is upset that no one belief that Samuel is a honest man and he loves her.

With Carlota out on her wicked mission, Rufina comes into Paloma's room  and they talked about Fr. Cristobal and the unjust treatment. Meanwhile Gabriel in his studio alone is thinking about Paloma and her passion for justice. His dad, Don Eugenio calls and he tells him about Real del Monte and the arrest of Fr. Cristobal.His Dad tells him Luz might be on her way and Gabriel says she’s already here.

Angelica at home tries going through the manuscript and discovers its her book. She's Shocked!
