Eugenio takes over as Cristobal' s Lawyer

Paloma hears and witnesses Anamar, running up to give Emiliano a hug. She's in Mexico to visit him. He's happy to see her too. She can't believe that she let him go. Paloma hides from their view and spies on them. Emiliano accompanies Anamar to check in at her hotel. He then invites her out to eat.
Eugenio is talking on the phone with Madeleine and she suggests he talks to the priests Benito and Mateo. He agrees.

Carlota tells Rufina how unhappy she is with her and how she always preferred Macarena to her. Rufina tells her it was wrong to lie to Macarena about Cristobal's death and even Paloma's real dad. Carlota says it was all for a good reason.

Rafael goes home and Luz takes him into the bedroom to show him Xochi who is sleeping. He is not happy with Luz and tells her its a crime to steal a child. Luz defends herself but Rafael tells her its wrong to be impulsive when others are concerned and she needs to start thinking first before doing anything. He tells her the child cant stay and Luz replies that if Xochi can't stay then neither will she. Rafael tries to reason with her that he just wants things to be done right. Luz finally agrees.

From Camila's office, Orlando walks to his office thinking to himself how he can convince her to move away with him to the US. Not only would it be good for business, but also for their relationship. Angelica sees the look on his face and asks if everything is okay and he says fine. He asked if she has heard from Dario and she said no. He tells her that he's contacted an attorney for her and has paid for 3 visits. And if more is needed he'll take care of it. He said that Dario must pay for what he did to her. Paloma comes in to speak with Angelica about seeing Emiliano with another woman. Angelica tells her not to let her jealousy makes her see things that are not true. Paloma is surprised that she is jealous and wonders if that is the same feelings Emiliano gets every time he sees her with Gabriel.  She admits that its a horrible feeling.

Romina visits Camila and tells her she is bored. When she's told her baby will soon be with her, she says 2 nurses will attend to him as she wants to dedicate her time to her husband, Emiliano. She even rejects working with Camila. She leaves there to the church to visit Gabriel. She wants to know if he can give her Art classes. All the while she is getting closer to him and openly flirting but he turns away and says that there are things that money can't buy. And painting is one of them. 'Can't you show me' asks Romina. German walks by and spots Romina and Gabriel talking. He goes up to them and says to Romina that he can't believe she's in the church. They both left the church. German accuses her of flirting with Gabriel but she denies and calls him an idiot. She says she only has eyes for her husband. German doesn't believe her because he knows her too well. He then grabs her and kisses her in the broad daylight on the streets. She tries to push away, but ends up kissing him back.

Paloma tells herself that it's best that she forget about Emiliano although she still day dream about him. Gabriel interrupts her daydreaming and invites her out to eat. She agreed and they both left for a restaurant.

Eugenio meets with Fr. Mateo and asks if he thinks that Carlota bought off German. He says its possible because that woman is like the devil. He told him how they have witnessed her lies especially when she accosted Cristobal. Eugenio says accosted? Sexually? "Yes" says Fr. Mateo, "One day she tried to get into Cristobal's bed here". Eugenio is shocked. The Priest pleaded with him to take over from German because he might have been compromised by Carlota.

Emiliano and Anamar are at a restaurant catching up on what's been going on in their lives. Paloma and Gabriel walk into the same restaurant and Emiliano spots her and calls out her name. He comes over with Anamar and introduces her to Paloma. Then goes back to their table. Gabriel asks if she wants to go, and she said no. Gabriel asks if she wants to talk about it. She tells him that she saw them at the park today hugging. Paloma asks if he has ever felt jealous before. He says he thought he was immune until he met a woman that made him finally feel it.  'I never thought I would feel it' replies Paloma. Emiliano and Paloma stare at each other.

Carlota goes to the church but Fr. Benito tells her that she is no longer welcomed in the church until she has confessed all her sins. Carlota says he has no right to stop her from the church or the communion but the Father says he has every Right as he is God's representative on earth and a witness to Carlota's lies and deception. Carlota vows to complain to his superiors and left. .  As she storms out, she runs into Eugenio. She is surprised to see him in the church. Eugenio says no one is aware of what people are or what they can do which Carlota agrees. She went ahead to badmouth Fr. Cristobal which made Eugenio to ask if she has found him guilty before the judgement. She began to feel uncomfortable and excuse herself.

Emiliano tells Anamar that the girl is Paloma. The love of his life. Anamar tells him that it looks like Paloma is trying to make a new life with Gabriel and trying to forget him. She also tells him that he married someone he didn't love and he can be free since the baby is born. She advised him to start the divorce process immediately and the law will protect him.

German is doing business at the same restaurant where Emiliano is. He calls Romina and tells her that Emiliano is at the restaurant with a very good looking woman and Romina leaves home  immediately for the restaurant but Emiliano has left.

While Eugenio decides to take over the case Carlota is in her office recalling his words to her and feeling uncomfortable.

To legalize the adoption, Luz was advised to go see Leticia Lopez in Pachuca. Eugenio frowns at her impulsive attitude and while she leaves to fetch Xochitl, Rafael thanks Eugenio for his help with the exports of the ceramic and the little girl. 

In Court
 At the trial, the prosecutor calls Cristobal to the stand and asks about Macarena and he admits proposing to her and was ready to leave priesthood for her. When the lawyer asks if he had a romantic relationship with her, Cris gets mad and yells no, no and the court room went up in uproar.  When the drama was becoming too much, the Judge says 'okay, that’s enough for today and the court will reconvene tomorrow.'

Paloma added her own drama by accusing Chris Macarena of deceiving her. Cris tries to explain that they had reasons for keeping the relationship a secret but Paloma would not listen.   Afterwards, Cris tells German that Eugenio is taking over as his lawyer.

Luz and Rafael with Xochitl are with social worker.  She explains that they have to do a physical and psychological evaluation first, then they can discuss what will happen with Xochi.Although the evaluation shows that the little girl has been physically abused and was to be kept for observation but the social worker made an exception and allowed them to take her home for few days.

Angelica is awakened late at night by Miriam, who’s crying and upset. She tells her that Dario found her and threatened her if they continue with the case of exposing him as a fraud. She says she cant go back to Mexico City. Angelica calms her and tells her she can stay with her as long as she wants and offers to talk to Orlando for a job placement.

Madeleine is happy that Eugenio has taken Cris’s case. When Gabriel tells him that Macarena was Paloma's mum, Eugenio gets very excited saying that could be the motive for Carlota wanting to ruin Cris for choosing her sister instead of her.  He believes Carlota is dangerous and is capable of manipulating both the defense and prosecution.

Here comes Anamar!

With the trial adjourned to the next day, everyone left and Rufina and Doc Bermúdez discussed Carlota's testimony and still think something is not right with Javier’s will.
Orlando drops in and reports the day’s trial proceedings to  Emiliano who is surprised to hear that Paloma will inherit a fortune. He asks if the baby's name has been registered and Emiliano says not till the baby is discharged from the hospital.

The father accosted Germán as he struts out of the courthouse and tell him Carlota is lying about her relationship with Fr. Cristóbal but German does not want to listen He tells them what there are saying has nothing to do with the trial, and he is the lawyer and knows best. Madeleine too is very worried that it might be too late to help Cris but Eugenio reassures her that it would not.

Angélica and Miriam discuss Dario's charms and how they were victims and how Orlando came just at the right time to help them before the situation turned very ugly. Angelica then let her feelings show that Orlando does not love her the way she loves him. Miriam then asked  "Are you in love with Orlando?!” and she responded " Yeah, I can’t believe it either..." .Any way she will soon leave for Mexico City and not be disturbed by Orlando's rejection and love for another woman.

In the Hospital, the Doctor tells them that the baby is going to be discharged and Romina wants to hire the 2 nurses recommended by the doctor. Eventually, they agreed  to name the baby Bernardo after Camila’s father.

When Carlota accused her of betrayal, Rufina says she only relates what she was told that Javier’s house was mortgaged  and he had debts and no money during their meetings and nothing else. Carlota lied again that she had to do this to keep the secret. Paloma too is angry that all this is not making sense because she made her to suffer and made her and Macarena look like charity cases to  everyone when in actual fact, Paloma’s money have been supporting them all.
Paloma left for the hospital and while visiting, Romina came in and started gushing about her perfect family and how she wishes Paloma will find a man who will make her happy.  

Luz sees Little Xochitln, and how the man exploiting her, scolds her, pushes her into the car and drives away.  Luz runs after the car hitting it with her purse. She then follows the car to the shack that the child abuser is staying and sees Xochitln runs inside and cowers on her bed. She sees the man drinking and getting drunk.  Luz waited patiently until the man passes out. She sneaks in and rushes Xochi out to her car. The Drunken man wakes and stumbles after them, yelling “she’s mine!”
Luz drives off and when she got home called Rafael immediately to come home.

Natalia too is surprised by Carlota's testimony and the details of the will. She tells Ivonne that the will is absurd but she still thinks she caused  Alonso’s deat but Ivonne still thinks it  was an accident. Natalia says maybe, but what was he doing in Pachuca, something or somebody lured him there for what?  Ivonne gets  a letter and the photo to give to little Sagrario and was encouraged to adopt her. 

Back in jail, Cris is sure Carlota has bought  German, but he’s going to give him another chance to redeem himself.

 Dario assaults Miriam in a parking lot back in the city and threatens that she and Angelica are going to pay for daring him .
  
Orlando is discussing the turn of event in the court with Angélica and Emiliano and they all agreed that German is making a mess of the case and another lawyer must be contacted if Chris is to be freed. Meanwhile German  is visiting Carlota at home, claiming he came to see Paloma to let her know that he will take her to visit Cris the next day but Carlota says no.

Orlando brings Camila an orchid, because he thinks of her all the time. He has settle for a shorter honeymoon and after they will move to the U.S. Camila says no that Business,  Daughter, Grandson and  Home would not let her. Orlando is really shocked at her reaction.

Ivonne leaves Natalia and goes to Doc Bermuda’s office, crying about her talk with Natalia. The Doc consoled her but thinks the case may be hopeless. She gives him the letter and photo .

While at the Park sketching, Paloma sits across  Emiliano but they did not see.  Suddenly, a young woman  gets out of a taxi and calls to him. Emiliano looks up and sees her and calls out “Anamar!” . They smile and hug tightly while Paloma watches across jealous.

Carlota's Testimony

Eugenio tells Gabriel he went to see Carlota out of curiosity and what he saw was a woman full of conflict. Gabriel thinks she’s mean and wants him to be careful since she is suspected of killing Inaki. While still talking, Gabriel suddenly staggers, clutches his stomach and collapses. Eugenio opens the drawer and takes the drugs which he pops into Gabriel’s mouth and holds him till he came around

Paloma is weeping at Macarena’s grave and wondering why she didn’t tell her about her father, Fr Cristobal and a lot more. She laments that she is so alone and unlucky in love.

Angelica is home with Miriam and they are teaming together to unmask Dario. When Dario starts lying about loving her and wanting them to be true to each other, Mariam struts in and says that makes the three of us. Dario is startled as the two women attacked him verbally so he shoved Angelica away and then Orlando walks in. He calls Dario a scumbag and a fraud and gave him one week to give Angelica back her book or be arrested. Angelica sinks into the couch and thank Orlando. He then kneels and takes her hand to comforts her and Miriam looks on a bit sad.

Samuel lazing around in his hotel room has a visitor and its Diana. He quickly puts off his cigarette, and cleared the room before answering the door. Diana brought the mortgage document saying it’s all ready for signature.

Orlando comes into Camila’s shop and greets her by calling her The future Mrs Ferrer. She smiles and tells him the invitations cards are ready and he presents their honeymoon trip plans. When she realised its for two months, she flipped. She says she cant leave Romina alone for that long.

Carlota is furious about having to go to the trial and blames it on Macarena. But Paloma defends Macarena and tells her its the murder of Alonso that is being investigated.

In the Courtroom
Back in the courtroom, everyone is waiting and there comes Carlota on the arm of German followed by Paloma and Rufina,

Carlota is called to the witness stand. German asks her how she responds to Natalia’s story that Alonso thought she had something to do with Inaki’s death. Carlota responds smilingly that she is innocent. When asked about the inheritance left to Paloma by Javier, she said yes there is an inheritance and she knew about it. Paloma is shocked and the crowd grumbles. After the judge pounds his gavel for silence, German continues the questioning by asking why she kept the inheritance a secret and Carlota lied that that was what her brother requested in the will. She says Paloma is not supposed to find out about the inheritance until she turns 21. 

She hands over a copy of the will to German, who collects and hands it to the judge. The Judge looks through and asks German to read it aloud to all. He then reads that Paloma is not to be told of her inheritance of a small fortune until she turns 21 because they didn't want people to take advantage of her. For that reason, her guardian was not to tell her until then. Paloma’s could not believe what shes hearing while Carlota seems satisfied and the crowd reacts. Carlota continues her testimony by blaming Christobal, Natalia, Dr Bermudez, Rufina and even Inaki’s father Alonso of false accusation.

Rafael goes to warn Diana about Samuel but she thinks he is jealous. Even the warning that Samuel has a very bad reputation did not sway Diana who says she can take care of herself. Meanwhile in the hotel room, Samuel is happily packing. He is so excited about the loan document that Diana has signed. He holds the manila envelope and kisses it.

When German is satisfied that the testimony has put Carlota in the clear of any wrongdoing, he tells the judge he’s done.

The prosecutor takes his turn to ask some questions. He asks why Alonso suspected her of killing Inaki. German protests that Carlota isn’t on trial but the prosecutor says now she is. Carlota happy to continue her lies, says that she did not approve of the relationship with Inaki as he was a struggling poor musician who wanted to take advantage of Paloma.  But after checking him out, she discovered that he was a good person, and she gave her consent even though Paloma was a minor. Cordero asks if the family agreed. Carlota says Carmen, his mother did, but his father Alonso was against it, and even insulted Paloma at the funeral.

When Cordero asked Why was the Insult? Carlota says Alonso felt Inaki was throwing away his future by marrying Paloma and when he died, he felt quilt at not being a good father.  She said Alonso apparently held her responsible for Inaki’s death despite the Doctors report of heart attack as the cause of death.

Madeleine is shocked at the turn of events and pleads with Eugenio to take over so that Cris innocense can be proven.

When asked about her relationship with Chris, Carlota lied again that she didn’t really know him well. But knows he wanted to run away and elope with Macarena. When asked about the relationship when he returned to Real del Monte as a priest, she said she respected him. 

The judge adjourns for the day and Carlota felt happy at  nailing the coffin on Chris. Paloma steps forward and confronts her and she says she was just following my orders. 
She left claiming she needs fresh air. Back in her office, Carlota says to herself I’m a genius.

Paloma's Inheritance Revealed

Rafael notices that Camila is sad but she corrected that its not about the wedding but about Romina finally finding out about her treacherous father. She tells him about Diana and Samuel and Rafael is surprised.

Back to the courtroom

German started his defense by calling Natalia to the witness stand. German first question to Natalia is why she didn't marry Cristobal when they were supposed to. Natalia tells how it wasn't meant for them to be together and Cristobal was not with the church then. German then brings up the constant visits of Cristobal to her house. Natalia confirms this. Eugenio and Madeline are far back watching the proceedings.

German leaves and the prosecutor takes his turn. The crowd is growing restless and the Judge quiets them.

Prosecutor wants to know why Cristobal visit her in her house alone and Natalia tells them about Paloma's inheritance they were investigating. She explains that Dr. Bermudez, Alonzo and Rufina are part of the team. German jumps up in protest and objects to this line of questioning but the judge over rules him and asked the prosecutor to carry on. Natalia tells the audience about Inaki and how he was going to marry Paloma but he died before the wedding. She explains how Inaki suspected Carlota and the inheritance Paloma was supposed to receive from Sagario and Javier. So when he died, they continued to meet and Alonzo after accepting the son's death and coming to know Paloma better joins.

There was uproar in the courthouse and the Judge angrily pounds his gavel demanding silence. The prosecutor surprised by this revelation, asked the judge for justice sake to invite Carlota for questioning. Paloma jumps up in shock too. The judge over rules German arguement and agrees with the Prosecutor that Carlota be invited for questioning the next day. German sits for a moment in shock even when the court was over while Paloma was questioning why her Aunt should be invited.Shes upset but remembers her conversation with Romina after Inaki's death where Romina suspected Carlota of killing Inaki. Gabriel asks if she suspected any foul play and she said no. At this point, Emiliano comes up to speak to her about Inaki and Paloma wonders why he or anybody never told her anything.

Camila and Romina went to see the baby and holding him for the first time, she's overwhelmed with emotion and cried. She tells Camila how small he is but Camila says yes he is precious. When the nurse tells them how Emiliano and Paloma visits have helped the baby, Romina is jealous.

Rafael and Luz talking about the little girl but Rafael warns her it will be very difficult to locate the girl in the big town. Rafael secretary, Cynthia comes in and sees the picture so she tells them how the girl and other kids are victims of of people who exploit them and use them for street begging. Luz can't believe this and vowing to help the little girl, pleads with Rafael to help her in locating the girl. Joel comes in carrying Monica's son and Luz tries playing with the child.

Back to the court room Fr. Benito is on the stand and he tells the court how Cristobal helps people to overcome their drug or alcohol addictions. Cristobal's mother smiles proudly at hearing this and German asks why anyone would accuse a man like that of murder.
The prosecutor asks about the state Cris was in when he first meets him. Fr Benito flashback to when he found Cris drunk and how he encouraged hm to stop drinking. when pressed to speak more on Cris personal life, Fr Benito declined and said only Cris can answer that as he will not break his vow to keep someone's confessions a secret.

Eugenio visits Carlota and tells he is starting an investigation. She looks at Eugenio nervously while he studies her reaction. He then leaves. Paloma walks into the gloomy living room and is verbally attacked by Carlota. The phone rings and Rufina answers and its German who calls to tell her that the judge orders for her presence the next day. Carlota says she is not coming and German says its by force. Carlota drops the telephone and turn to Rufina and Paloma asking if they knew about her being called to court. Rufina says yes as it was made public. Rufina asks tauntingly if she needs anything and she says  no and walks away.

Rufi then turns to Paloma and she too says she does not need anything from her as she kept the inheritance investigation a secret. When Rufi sees how upset she's with her, she pleads for forgiveness. She says they needed to get proof before telling her and its not about trusting her but the only practical thing to do under the circumstance. Paloma accepts and forgives her.

Lilian visits Paloma and they were discussing relationships when Gabriel walks in to take Paloma out. Few seconds later,Emiliano enters with a bouquet of flowers to take her out too. Paloma gets angry that Emiliano is still carrying on as if she is his property and he has the right to decide for her so Gabriel leaves and goes outside to wait for them. After lambasting Emiliano, Paloma leaves with Gabriel for the cart race and Lilian has to console Emiliano.

German and Romina run into each other on the street and he tells her they should get back together because things are looking up for him. She starts to walk off and he grabs and kisses her. While still kissing Romina, he sees Carlota walking by so he pulls away and leaves. Romina does not like being rejected so she accuses him for being a coward.

Eugenio finds out that Madeleine Martelli called so he calls her up. They have been friends for years and its been awhile since they last talked. When he tells her that he’s in Real del Monte, she says me too and asks that they meet right away.

Carlota gets to the church dispensary where Ines and another church lady are working and she starts running down Fr Cristobal. The women were shocked at what she was saying.

Romina cries to Camila that Samuel, her father has robbed her, his daughter. She wants to confront him ad wants Camila to go with her and she agrees. They confront Samuel in the hotel lobby and by the time they were through with him, he's dazed.

Diana playing card with her new lover. Samuel. He lied to her that the business deal he was expecting is finally done and they need a property as a guarantee. Since he does not have a property, he needs a property owner to guarantee the loan. When Diana offers initially, he pretended to reject. Diana insists on helping him.

At the hospital, Emiliano is with the baby and the doctor tells him that she’s happy with the baby’s development and that he’s responding well to treatment.

Angelica invites Miriam so that together they can expose Dario as a fraud. She wants Dario to know that plagiarism is bad and he should respect other writers. Orlando is so proud of her for standing up against Dario and fighting for her right.

Back at the office, Emiliano in a depressed mood tells Orlando he's lost Paloma because she rejected him. Emiliano says “I just want to make her happy, Papa”. Orlando is so happy that Emiliano calls him papa and he points it out to Emiliano who didn’t realize he said it.

Madeleine tells Eugenio she’s worried about Cristobal, because he’s her son. Eugenio is surprised and she explains that she had him before she met her husband. She believes Cristobal is innocent and German is not experienced enough to handle the case. She is ready to stake her fortune to prove that her son is innocent and would want him to take over the case. Eugenio cautions her that he hasn’t practiced in years, but she’s certain that if his son was in this situation he’d do the impossible to save him. She begs him to defend Cristobal and he agrees. But Madeline asked him not to tell Cristobal.

Cristobal tells German that he’s worried about Paloma and wants to see her so he can tell her everything about his relationship with Macarena.

Back at the shop, Romina asks for forgiveness from Camila saying “I was so unfair with you. You’ve been the best mom in the world. You’re always going to be with me? You’re never going to leave me, right?”. Camila promises they are always going to be together especially with little Sammy to unite them.
From Camila's shop, Romina goes crying to Emiliano’s office to tell him about Sam robbing her. He reminds her about her mom's love. But she is worried that the men in her life do not love her, her father and Emiliano. He tries consoling her but takes advantage of the moment to kiss him. Emiliano's phone rings so he breaks off the kiss and apologise but Romina says this kiss could be a new start for them. Emiliano looks very uncomfortable and tells her once again he does not love her. Outside, Romina lets Angelica know she is not happy with her ruining her opportunity with Emiliano and their kiss.

Back at home from seeing German and bribing him, Carlota comes home and yells at Rufina for Paloma absence at home.

Back in Court
Everyone present except Paloma who comes late with Gabriel in tow. German tells her Cristobal will like to speak to her alone. Paloma does not want to see Cristobal because she is still angry. And German ask if she is sure?

Camila is walking down the street with packages and runs into Rafael and they talked about his business and her coming wedding. Rafael noticed she is not happy and asked but she quickly said her goodbye.

The Kiss for  Settlement or Manipulation?
In the prison yard, the troublemaker prisoners attack Cris again and Chucho goes to help. The guards break it up and tell Cris to go see his visitor, whether he wants to or not. His visitor is Carlota who comes to offer him another chance of accepting her and she will free him from prison. He says No and leaves.

Eric and Germán slugging it out on who is superior or more favoured in the office. German says he is jealous because Liliana still loves him but Eric tells him the relationship is off. 

Licenciado Cordero gets an envelop marked “Confidential” and “Regarding the Case of Fr. Cristóbal” he did not open it but  puts it aside to go through later. 

After the fight with Eric, Germán leaves to see Carlota at home. He interrogates Rufina about the family and value of the Mansion. Rufina hates him and wishes she can knock him out with a poisonous coffee but Carlota shows up so Rufina leaves.

Carlota tells German to destroy Cris but he wants to win the case in order to have prestige. Carlota tells him to forget that as he can gain prestige in other cases and she will pay him well. She tells him to find someone who will testify that he witnessed Alonso being run over by the truck and German in shock asked “How do you know he was run over by a truck?” Carlota says she heard from someone in the Town that it was a truck that ran over Alonso. German pretends to accept that.

She makes him sit down in front of her, and tells him to court Paloma. German is surprised considering how strict Carlota is with her niece. She proceeded to kiss him passionately and German responded too. (What a bunch. The two of them are sickos)

Paloma goes to show Gabriel the painting she’s been working on. He says it is amazing and tells her his coming to Real del Monte is not in vain as she is exactly what he’s been looking for. But Paloma did not understand him especially when he said "everything I have will be yours.” Just then Emiliano calls  to invite her to the hospital to visit  the baby. Gabriel is jealous.
Angélica hears when Emiliano called Paloma to come to the hospital with him but she is not happy at their closeness. Agreed the baby needs affection to thrive but it is not good for Emiliano and Paloma. He needs to leave her alone to avoid temptation and let her move on with her life.

One of Diana’s poker friends, also a friend of Camila, goes to her  shop and to confess to her that she is in big trouble, having lost a lot of money playing poker with Samuel.  Camila is shocked to hear that Samuel and Diana are still together after she had warned her. She and Mónica ahope the news about Samuel and Diana is not true. 

Carlota and German are still kissing in the study and his jacket is off and his shirt unbuttoned. But she got carried away and started asking if  Cristóbal loves her and then German stopped. Carlota too came back to her senses and drove German out.  She takes out her anger on the furniture, smashing everything and Rufina becomes alarmed. Afterwards, she stomps out and up the stairs. Rufina rushes into the office and is shocked at the sight.  “Carlota and Germán?!

In prison, Cris is telling  Orlando he wants to find a way to make Carlota confess to all the crimes shes committed but Orlando says everything will work out in the trial. He was given a letter to give to Natalia so he advises Cris to think seriously about starting a family since he is no longer a priest and Macarena is dead.

Paloma finishes the sketch she’s been working on and wants Gabriel to look at it but he says “Great; see you next class,” wthout looking at it. Paloma is worried at his attitude insisting he tell her what the matter is but he just walked away saying  “It’s not you, it’s me.”

Romina calls the furniture store for the delivery of her baby's furniture but is shocked when she is told no record of her order. 

Liliana finds Eric on the street and tells him she’s missed him terribly and wants to get back together. He says he loves her, but she doesn’t really love him. She says she does. He says unless she is absolutely sure, she should stay away from him. Liliana weeps.

Luz lets herself into Gabriel’s place and looks around. She sees the  sketch of a girl with bangs and braids and falls in love with it. she takes it and leaves that she has taken it..Meanwhile, Gabriel is out in the park. Sandra calls from her sickbed to ask why he went with Paloma to graduation but he mumbled sorry and hangs up. Romina walks up to him to flirt with him. Gabriel asks about her baby and when she started playing a bitch, Gabriel leaves. 

AT home, Paloma helps Rufina in the kitchen and she mentioned Paloma's father and she was upset and warned her never to mention that man again.   To distract, Rufina tells her about Carlota and Germán and how they locked themselves in the office for hours. How later German left in a hurry and Carlota was mad. Rufina thinks she would not come for Cris's trial and Carlota walks in saying yes and no one in the house should go too. But Paloma disagrees and Carlota warns that she’s going to hear some very ugly things about Cris and Natalia.

Germán visits Dr. Bermúdez and he tells him that himself and Emiliano doubt the baby’s paternity. Germán says they already did a test but Dr Bermudez says things just don’t add up and he wants to do another test. German refuses. 

Gabriel's dad visits and could sense something is wrong. Gabriel says he wants to finish up his work and skip town as soon as possible, because he is in love with Paloma. Eugenio is thrilled about that but Gabriel is not.  Eugenio says finding love is a blessing and he should just go with it. 

Chava gives Emiliano gifts for the baby, a tiny pair of soccer shoes and a little soccer ball as he goes to support Fr. Cris for all hes done for him. He hopes to help Emiliano's son someday too.

Orlando gives Natalia the letter from Cris. The letter simply aplogises for the mess and encourages her to have faith that God will soon intervenes and freedom will come to her.

At the hospital, Paloma is admiring the baby when Emiliano shows up with his friend Alejandro. The friend plays the recorder therapeutically for the baby and he seems to enjoy it. Paloma tells Emiliano he’s a super good dad and he tells her she’ll be a great mom someday. 

Germán fetches Cris for the trial. Cris hopes the facts will come to light and they will be vindicated.
